Testimonial

Testimonials are a great component when trying to bring attention to a quote or except of text from a long paragraph. It also allows for the content to be broken up thus making it easier for the user to read through.

  • Published - Select or unselect to make component visible or not to site visitors. Defaults to published
  • Background Style (required) - Choose the style in which the testimonial should display in the background
    • Black Spiral
    • White Spiral
    • Black Slant
    • White Slant
    • Image - Black Background
    • Image - White Background
  • Image Style (required) - Choose the style in which the image should be shown
    • Round, Slant
  • Background Image (optional) - Choose an image to display in the background if the image style has been selected
  • Quote (required) - Provide a short quote or excerpt of text to display
  • Name (required) - Provide a name or organization to display as who is being quoted
  • Description (optional) - Some small text to describe who is being quoted. e.g. Director of Popp Martin Student Union
  • Image (required) - Image to display next to the name and description or as a slanted image next to the quote

Instructions start on the Create or Edit Page within a piece of content.

  1. Create Content using the Add Component button
  2. Choose Testimonial from the list of Components in the Text section
    OR
    Edit Content using the Edit button
  3. Switch the Published field on or off for the component to be published or unpublished
  4. (required) Choose the Background Style for the component
  5. (required) Choose an Image Style for the foreground image (Round, Slant)
  6. (optional) Add a Background Image that will display if the Image background style has been selected
  7. (required) Provide a Quote to display
  8. (required) Provide a Name to display below the quote
  9. (optional) Provide a Description to display below the name
  10. (required) Choose or Upload an Image to display next to the name or the quote, depending on the Image Style chosen
