Paragraph (Component) Library
The Paragraph Library allows for components to be built and shared across multiple pieces of content. All component types are available to be built, shared, and managed from a central location.
In Drupal, components are also known as paragraphs so you might see these words substituted for each other in places like menus, tabs, and administration panels.
The library items can be managed following these directions to find the Paragraph library administration page.
- Click on the Content link in the admin menu or toolbar
- Select the Paragraphs tab
Here you'll find all the library items already created. You can create new components or edit existing ones.
Note: Items inside Paragraph (Component) Libraries are unavailable to the Jump Menu in the Sidebar Menu.
- Click on the Content link in the admin menu or toolbar
- Select the Paragraphs tab
- Click on + Add library item
- Give your library item a Label
- This is used to help identify what the item will be and how it's used
- Add Paragraphs (Components) to create the library item
- You can have as many items as you like. However it important to remember that this will show the exact same wherever you use it so sometimes less is more.
- Click Save when completed
- Create or find a component on a piece of content you would like to make into a library item
- Near the Collapse button there are 3 dots indicating more options
- Click the 3 dots and choose Promote to library
- This will create a library item and give it a generic name which can be changed later on the Paragraph library administration page.
- Component has now been added to the library and will be available via the From Library component.
