Social Media

This is a custom component created for the Hydraulic platform and is not currently available in the university WordPress offering.

  • Published - Select or unselect to make component visible or not to site visitors. Defaults to published
  • Background Color (required) - Choose the colors which to use when displaying the component
    • White, Black, Gray
  • Display Brand Names (optional) - Choose whether to display the brand names next to the icon
  • Display Usernames (optional) - Choose whether to display the usernames next to the icon
  • Enter the Social Media account names for the provided approved social media accounts
    • Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitch, X / Twitter, YouTube, Email, Website
    • If a social media platform is not listed, please reach out to us so we can look into adding it

Instructions start on the Create or Edit Page within a piece of content.

  1. Create Content using the Add Component button
  2. Choose Social Media from the list of Components in the Links section
    OR
    Edit Social Media content using the Edit button
  3. Switch the Published field on or off for the component to be published or unpublished
  4. (required) Choose the Background Color for the component (white, black, gray)
  5. (optional) Choose to Display Brand Names next to the icon
  6. (optional) Choose to Display Usernames next to the icon
  7. Provide usernames for each approved social media platform
    1. Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitch, X / Twitter, YouTube, Email, Website
