Filtered View

The Filtered View component allows for prebuilt views to be added to a page. These prebuilt views are able to only list certain elements based on categories or tags. The content that is displayed is then able to be filtered by the user to further narrow down what is shown. Good examples of this would be staff directories for departments or articles about a certain topic.
  • Published - Select or unselect to make component visible or not to site visitors. Defaults to published
  • Background Color (required) - Choose the colors which to use when displaying the component
    • White, Black, Gray
  • Section Header (optional)
    • Include in Jump Links Menu - Select or unselect to make section title an anchor link
    • Section Title - Give the section a title that will help identify the component. This also doubles as an anchor link for the section when using the Current Page Section Menu on Basic Pages
    • Description - Short description that helps further explain the section
    • Button Color - Color of the CTA button (green, gold)
    • Button Link URL / Text - Identify where the button should take visitors and what the button should say
  • View (required) - Select a view which you would like to display on the page
    • Display (required) - Select a prebuilt display of that view
    • Options (optional)
      • Argument - Enter a category or tag name exactly as you have added it to the content

Instructions start on the Create or Edit Page within a piece of content.

  1. Create Content using the Add Component button
  2. Choose Filtered View from the list of Components in the Other section
    OR
    Edit Filtered View content using the Edit button
  3. Switch the Published field on or off for the component to be published or unpublished
  4. (required) Choose the Background Color for the component (white, black, gray)
  5. (Optional) Section Header allows for the creation of a Call to Action (CTA) to display above or to the left of the text component.
    1. Include in Jump Links Menu (defaults to yes)
    2. Section Title
    3. Description
    4. Button Color (green, gold)
    5. Button Link URL / Text
  6. Choose a base View to use for the display of content
  7. Further narrow down the Display from options for the particular view chosen
  8. Provide some Arguments using the specific category or tag added to content to be displayed
