Edit Existing Content

To edit content in Drupal, you will need to have the appropriate permissions to edit and publish content. If you have these permissions, you can edit content on your site by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Drupal site as an administrator or content editor.
  2. Click on the "Content" link in the main menu to view the list of content items on your site.
  3. Find the content item you want to edit in the list, and click the Edit link next to it. This will take you to the Edit content page for the item.
  4. Make the necessary changes to the content item using the form fields on the page.
  5. You can then preview the content and make any additional changes before publishing the updated version.
    • Some paragraphs require at least one element saved before preview displays correctly.
  6. To publish the content, make sure the checkbox for Publish is selected. The updated content will now be visible to site visitors.
  7. Click the Save button to save the changes.

You can also use the "Bulk operations" dropdown menu on the content overview screen to edit multiple content items at once.

It's important to note that some content types, such as basic pages and articles, have a Revision log field that keeps track of all the changes made to the content. This can be useful for tracking the history of the content and for reverting to previous versions if necessary.
