To add content in Drupal, you will need to have the appropriate permissions to create and publish content. If you have these permissions, you can add new content to your site by following these steps:
- Log in to your Drupal site as an administrator or content editor.
- Click on the Content link in the main menu, or navigate to the URL /node/add. This will take you to the Add content page.
- Select the type of content you want to create from the list of options. Each content type may have different fields and options, so be sure to choose the one that best fits your needs.
- Article
- Facility Hours
- Page
- Profile
- Spotlight
- Fill out the form fields for the content type you selected. Some common fields you may encounter include:
- Title - The main title of the content item.
- Content - The main content of the item. This field uses paragraphs to allow the creation of pre-designed elements to the content.
- Image - An image to be displayed with the content.
- Categories - Keywords or tags to describe the content.
- You can then preview the content and make any necessary changes before publishing it.
- Some paragraphs require at least one element saved before preview displays correctly.
- To publish the content, make sure the checkbox for Publish is selected. The content will now be visible to site visitors.
- Click the Save button to save the changes.
